This course demonstrates how to effectively perform autoligation of the ovarian vessels during cat spays. Autoligation is a safe and efficient technique to use for all cat spays, no matter the reproductive status. Multiple ways to set up and complete the knot are included, as well as troubleshooting techniques. A specific tip to ensure that the knot slips off of the instrument smoothly is also explained. Autoligation is a foundational skill for HQHVSN (high quality, high volume spay neuter) surgeons.
